Toss Report: DD vs CSK

Delhi: Replacement captain of Delhi Daredevils Dinesh Kathik has won the toss at the Kotla and decided to bat first against Chennai Super Kings, even as he fails to remember the three changes in his side.

His counterpart, Suresh Raina, is the youngest captain of IPL standing in for MS Dhoni. It’s going to be a great test of character and temperament for youngsters Dinesh Karthik and Suresh Raina as both of them will be captaining their respective sides for the first time in DLF-IPL.

Delhi and Chennai both have been hampered by the absence of key players Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni respectively. It is interesting to note that whenever Dinesh Karthik has captained his team he has batted well and he would be looking to use that as a confidence booster. Suresh Raina on the other hand, who is known as the ‘small Hayden’ would try to emulate the big guy’s form and hope to match his caliber. The pitch seems like a belter and both teams would look at a big score.

Playing XI:

Delhi Daredevils:
Dinesh Karthik (captain & wk), Virender Sehwag, David Warner, Tillakaratne Dilshan, AB de Villiers, Mithun Manhas, Amit Mishra, Pradeep Sangwan, Dirk Nannes, Rajat Bhatia, Umesh Yadav.

Chennai Super Kings:
Suresh Raina (captain), Matthew Hayden, Murali Vijay, Parthiv Patel, Albie Morkel, Subramaniam Badrinath, , Muttiah Muralidaran, Justin Kemp, L Balaji, Joginder Sharma, R Ashwin.
